Privacy Policy
This policy explains what The Shot List ("we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to theshotlist.com and related services (the "Platform").
Account information: name, email, password (stored as a hash), role (artist or creator).
Profile information you provide: for Creators, your portfolio media, reel, bio, categories, styles, genres, cities, price band, links, and credits; for Artists, your name and optional genre interests. Live Creator profiles are public by design.
Messages and inquiries: the briefs and messages you send and receive on the Platform.
Usage data: pages viewed, searches run, profile views, saves, inquiries sent, and similar events, plus device and log information (IP address, browser type).
Payment data: processed by Stripe; we receive subscription status and receipts, never full card numbers.
Drafted-profile data: for draft profiles we create (see Terms §4), professional information such as name, craft, city, and public links, sourced from our professional network and public materials.
Membership status: whether an account holds an active Artist House membership and its tier, synced from Artist House so member perks apply.
To operate the Platform (search, profiles, messaging, lists, subscriptions); to review profiles and vetting applications; to compute responsiveness metrics and analytics shown to Creators; to send transactional email (inquiry notices, message digests, account and billing notices) and, with your consent where required, product updates; to keep the Platform safe (fraud prevention, rate limiting, abuse investigation); and to comply with legal obligations.
[COUNSEL/OPS: activate this section when Meta tracking is enabled.] When enabled, we use Meta advertising tools (Pixel and Conversions API) to measure signups and purchases driven by our advertising. These tools receive event data such as page views and hashed identifiers. You can limit ad tracking through your device and Meta settings. We do not sell personal information; if this measurement is treated as "sharing" under certain state laws, section 8 explains your opt-out rights.
Service providers that host and operate the Platform on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (media storage and delivery), Mux (video), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Zapier (membership sync), and Google Workspace (business email). Each receives only what its function requires. We also share information when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or in connection with a business transfer. Public profile content is visible to anyone, including search engines.
Messages are private between the participants. Our team may access message content only where necessary to investigate reported abuse, prevent fraud, keep the Platform safe, or meet legal obligations.
Account and profile data is kept while your account is active and deleted or de-identified within a commercially reasonable period after account deletion, except records we must keep (for example, billing records). Unclaimed draft profiles are deleted automatically after 90 days. Conversations are retained for the other participant even if you delete your account.
You can edit profile information in settings, control notification email in settings, delete your account in settings, and have a draft profile removed instantly via the link in its claim email or by writing to legal@theshotlist.com. For access or deletion requests you cannot complete in settings, email legal@theshotlist.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Submit requests to legal@theshotlist.com; we will verify and respond as the law requires, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising rights. [COUNSEL: confirm state-specific disclosures (CA, TX, and others) and whether a "Do Not Sell or Share" link is required once Meta tools activate.]
The Platform is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Accounts for artists under 18 are held and operated by a parent, legal guardian, or manager who is at least 18, as described in the Terms of Service.
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, hashed credentials, and access controls with row-level security. No system is perfectly secure; keep your password safe and unique.
We will post updates here and note the effective date, with notice for material changes. Questions and requests: legal@theshotlist.com · Artist House, LLC, 6333 E Mockingbird Lane, Ste 147 PMB 2187, Dallas, TX 75214, United States.
